Ladyfest Ohio This Weekend

The second year of Ladyfest Ohio is this weekend, October 7-9, 2005. The event includes live music from The Cinema Eye, Fat Girls by the Snack Table, Ranier Maria, Pamala Means, and many more acts. Spoken word, films, arts & crafts, and workshops are also part of the programming.

Performances by members of BalletMet, CATCO, Columbus Children's Theatre, Columbus Jazz Orchestra, Columbus Symphony Orchestra, Opera Columbus, Phoenix Theatre for Children, ProMusica Chamber Orchestra, and Thurber House (7:30pm)
If you have an event in the Columbus, Ohio area - especially if it involves local music and local music venues - that is benefiting victims of Katrina in some way, please send me the info at [email protected]. All should feel free to reference, link to, copy and pass on this info in any way. I plan to update this daily as needed.
We also donate a portion of Cringe CD and Cringe Store sales to the Red Cross each year. (The first Cringe CD came out just a couple weeks after 9/11 which started the tradition.) In that spirit, let me know if you'd like me to sell Cringe.com/pilation CDs at your benefit event and I'll see if I can arrange it. I will donate all resulting CD sales money to the cause.
