Magic Garden Opening

Magic Garden Mastering proprietor Brian Lucey has moved the facility from the northern outskirts of Columbus to the more central locale of Grandview - joining the Vital Film Works, 1305 Artists, Your Story Everywhere, and Mike's Curry House family already in residence at 1305 Holly Avenue. Magic Garden has mastered man local, national and internationally recognized releases, including The Black Keys upcoming Brothers record.
The grand opening party this Thursday is an invite only event. Email masteringstudioparty@gmail.com to get an official invite. Space is limited to 150 people.

Workbook on the Move

It's been coming for a few months and many of you probably already know about it; but Workbook Studio has officially announced it is moving. Jon, Neal and Workbook in general will still be available for recording and mastering, but in a smaller location and on a much more limited basis as they have other projects and opportunities.
If you think you have master tapes at Workbook, contact them to make arrangements to pick them up.

Speaking of sales, Workbook Studio is having a spring cleaning garage sale this Saturday, March 25, 1-5pm. Available items include games, toys, collectibles, furniture and studio gear. This is also a good time for bands to pick up any ADAT tapes they might have stored at the studio. Workbook is in Old Town East at 1199 Franklin Ave. (614.258.1405).

B3 player and connoisseur Tony Monaco has opened a new recording studio with a name that might have familiar ring - Columbus Sound. Monaco Productions is also running a sweepstakes with a Hammond-Suzuki XK3 Keyboard as the grand prize. It does involve listening to his November 8, 2004 CD, Fiery Blues. New Rehersal Hall Questions
There's a new new rehersal hall coming soon. What would you like to see in this hall? We already have JBL PA systems, lockout rooms and space by the day, week and month.
